Psychological
& Neurological Testing
Clarity is a powerful form of care.
Understanding what’s really going on is the first step toward getting what you need.

Testing isn’t about labels. It’s about language.
Language that helps you understand yourself, your child, your aging parent – or the behaviors and challenges that haven’t made sense… until now.
Good Therapy Counseling offers comprehensive psychological and neurological testing and mental health assessments for all ages – because clarity shouldn’t be limited to children. And diagnosis should never be a source of shame.
From young kids to teens, college students to adults, and older adults facing age-related cognitive decline – we help uncover the why so you can better understand the what now.
understand testing
Psychological testing looks at your thoughts, feelings, and behavior. It helps diagnose things like anxiety, depression, or personality issues.
Neurological (or neuropsychological) testing looks at how well your brain is working, especially for things like memory, attention, or problem-solving. It’s often used after brain injuries, strokes, or when dementia is suspected.
Think of it like this:
Psychological = how you feel and act.
Neurological = how your brain thinks and remembers.
For Children
Testing can uncover early developmental concerns, emotional patterns, learning differences, or signs of ADHD or anxiety that are affecting school and daily life.
We provide:
- ADHD assessments
- Anxiety and emotional regulation evaluations
- Learning and behavioral assessments
- Developmental screening

For Teens & Adolescents
This stage is filled with questions, identity shifts, and growing pressure.
Testing during this phase helps with:
- Executive functioning and attention assessments (ADHD)
- Depression or mood disorder screenings (behavioral issues)
- Learning disabilities, academic accommodations, or IEP support
- Social-emotional evaluations (depression, anxiety)
- Autism spectrum screening (if applicable)
For Adults
Many adults live for decades without knowing the “why” behind their challenges.
You may have been told to “push through,” or never even considered that ADHD, anxiety, or a mood disorder could be playing a role in your life.
It’s not too late. And you don’t need to keep guessing.
Our psychological testing for adults offers:
- ADHD and executive functioning evaluations
- Anxiety, depression, and mood disorder assessments
- Personality inventories and diagnostic clarification
- Workplace-related functioning and accommodations support

We also offer pre-surgical medical clearances, particularly for spinal cord stimulators, bariatric surgery, and deep brain stimulators.

We offer complete neurological and psychological testing services in nursing facilities homes – meeting our aged population in the comfort of their space.
For Older Adults
Memory changes and cognitive shifts don’t have to feel like a mystery.
We offer gentle, respectful testing to help identify signs of:
- Dementia or Alzheimer’s
- Mild cognitive impairment
- Emotional health concerns in aging
- Functional decline patterns
- Neuropsychology testing and assessments (cognitive delay)
This process also helps families make informed, supportive decisions for care, planning, and independence.
What happens next?
Testing isn’t the end of the process.
It’s the beginning of support that’s actually aligned with your needs.
After your assessment, our team provides a detailed summary, diagnostic impressions (if applicable), and recommendations for next steps – whether that’s counseling, academic accommodations, medical care, or simply peace of mind.
Helping, healing, and working together – for positive results.
Whether you’re exploring answers for yourself or someone you love, we’re here to help you face the unknown with support and find a path forward with clarity.
